“Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come
With all creation I sing:
Praise to the King of Kings!
You are my everything,
And I will adore You”

We sang this song today during worship. I absolutely love this song. As I have said before, I believe this song should be sung from our knees, bowed before our loving Father, but due to the space constraints during service today, that wasn’t entirely possible, but I digress. While singing this song, I just began to think of the wonder of the event.

I felt as though I were translocated to that wonderous day when we get to worship Jesus with these words, before His throne. Though in this instance, I was an observer. At first all I saw was a hazy smoke, but I heard this beautiful song. The lyrics above repeated over and over, each time, more beautiful than the last. I could not get enough, so I ventured forth into the haze, not knowing what to expect. As I approached the singing, it became more and more angelic and I began to see a light. The light became more and more intense and the music louder and louder until eventually the haze broke and I gazed upon the most spectacular sight. Before me was a vast, enormous space that stretched as far as the eye could see. I looked down into this space, this large room and saw person upon person, clothed in white, bowed face down towards something. The room was filled with line upon line upon line of people. I looked toward the direction they were bowing, and there, seated on the most glorious throne history has ever seen was Jesus. The music was beautiful. It was for our King, our ever deserving King.

Oh Church!! Rise up! Our home is not on this earth. We are merely sojourners here to the work of our glorious King. Our true home is in Heaven, bowing before our Savior!
